I don’t hunt or shoot guns, but this product fascinates me regardless. Basically, it’s a pair of standard earmuffs to protect your hearing from loud gunshots, but it includes a microphone and speakers in the ear cups to amplify non-harmful noises. That means that normal human speech will come through loud and clear, but once noise levels exceed 82 db, the audio shuts off automatically. That’s really clever.
