The new Roku streaming stick is all you need, and Amazon just knocked $20 off its base price, if you don’t mind buying a refurb. Even if you already have the old model, it might be worth $30 just for the ability to stream audio to your mobile device, enabling pseudo-wireless headphones so you can watch TV in bed without waking your significant other.

YI 4K Action Camera, $160 with code YIJULY4K

Yi makes your favorite budget action cam, and right now its 4K sibling is just $160 with the code YIJULY4K (in white only). Jillian got a chance to test this guy out on the rapids of the Hudson River, and it offers a ton of bang for the buck.

It’s a little bit larger in size than the GoPro HERO5, but by only a little more than half an inch. It can shoot that coveted 4k at 30fps or 720p at 240fps, which is kind of astounding for a sub-$200 cam (even if it can’t shoot 1080p at 120fps like the GoPro).

iClever External USB 3.0 DVD Drive, $22 with code DVDBLACK

Most laptops don’t have CD drives anymore, which is mostly fine, except for that one time that inevitably pops up every year or two where you really wish you had one. Now, you can for just $22, no extra power cable required.

An SSD is the best upgrade you can buy for your computer, and if you want to go all out with a 1TB drive, $270 is a great price.

APC makes your favorite surge protector, and this model with USB ports and 11 AC outlets has never been cheaper than today’s $25.

Anker’s PowerLine and PowerLine+ cables were already our readers’ favorite charging cables, but the new PowerLine II line is even stronger, comes with a hassle-free lifetime warranty, and is a few bucks off on Amazon today.

We wrote more about the cables over on Gear, but the long and short of it is that between the extreme durability and the lifetime warranty, it’s quite possible that this will be the last Lightning cables you ever have to buy. The 6' model is the one on sale this week, but only in white.

Three Amazon Echo Dots, $130 with code DOT3PACK

Amazon’s Alexa is basically the operating system of the home, but to fully appreciate it, you need to scatter Echoes and Echo Dots around your house until they can basically hear your from anywhere. If you’re ready to fully commit, Amazon’s offering a solid discount on the already-affordable Echo Dot when you buy three.

To get the deal, just add three Dots to your cart, and use promo code DOT3PACK at checkout. The $130 you’ll spend is, somewhat incredibly, $50 less than a single full-sized Amazon Echo. The Dots’ speakers obviously aren’t as good, but you can plug them in or pair them over Bluetooth to any other speaker you have lying around, which makes them perfect little omnipotent, voice-activated Music streamers.

Until relatively recently, USB-powred external hard drives (meaning those that don’t require an extra power cord) topped out at 2TB. Now, you can get this 5TB model for an all-time low $130, no power outlet required.

Aukey Metal Magnetic Vent Mount, $6 with code AUKEYHD6

Aukey’s magnetic vent mount was already our readers’ preferred method for mounting phones in the car, but this new version has a metal ring on the outside, rather than plastic. So fancy!

But seriously, even if you already own one of these, I find it’s worth keeping an extra in my luggage so I’ll always have it handy for rental cars.

Mark your calendars, because Amazon’s third annual Prime Day is July 11, with the deals actually kicking off at 9PM ET the night before.

Of course, we’ll be sifting through the avalanche of deals to help you find the best stuff, but in the meantime, a few great digital discounts are already live on Amazon’s Prime Day hub page. The highlights here are six months of Audible for $9 each (rather than the usual $15), up to 40% off Kindle Unlimited subscriptions, and 15% off July 4 snacks. Again, these deals are available starting today, if you have a Prime subscription (sign up for a free 30 day trial here).

The best early access deal of them all though is undoubtedly four months of Amazon Music Unlimited for just $1. It’s only available for new members, but that’s the best deal we’ve seen on the service, which will still be less expensive than Spotify Premium ($8 vs. $10) after the promotional period expires.

These USB batteries aren’t packed with the latest and greatest features, but they do have some of the best price-per-mAh ratios we’ve seen. The smaller of the two has an LCD screen that shows you your precise battery level remaining, while the larger Aukey includes a Lightning input for iPhone owners.

6-Month PureVPN Subscription, $43 with code 6M31 | 2-Year PureVPN Subscription, $60 with code 2Y77

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’ geoblocks), PureVPN is running some pretty stellar discounts right now.

If you sign up for a six month membership and use promo code 6M31, you’ll get it for $7.20 per month rather than the listed $9, and if you commit to two years, your price will drop all the way to $2.51 per month with code 2Y77, down from $2.95. That’s less than you spend during a trip to Starbucks.

Like those other smart switches, the Koogeek Wi-Fi Smart Plug includes an app for turning your electronics on and off, and putting them on a schedule. The key difference here is that you can also control it with Siri from your phone, or from Control Center in iOS.
